No one wants to think about cancer.  You can’t live on this planet and not know that 1 out of 2 people will develop this disease in their lifetime, if cures are not found.  Researchers have discovered that every human beings body makes healthy and defective cells.  The defective cells have the potential to become some form of cancer or other disease.  Studies also indicate that more than 69% of those who get cancer could have done something to prevent it, by making changes in their behavior.  These changes can be made by any proactive human being who does not wish to be the victim of this serious and life-threatening disease.

Use of your bodies natural defenses, makes an enormous difference in the state of your health.  Doctors still don’t completely understand exactly to what extent the body’s resources help you fight disease; and not much research has been done.  This is what they do know and you can use this information as a tool:

A)     Movement and physical activity are crucial to living a healthy life, and physical activity stimulates defense mechanisms that fight cancer.

B)      Sugar intake has increased in our society.  It’s in much of what we consume.  Cancer grows when sugar is present in the body.  You must drastically cut down on your ingestion of sugar to promote your own well being.

C)      Changing life patterns to avoid stress is an essential proactive measure.  Years of living in a stress filled environment reduces the body’s natural immunities, and creates a vulnerability to illness, and the spread of that illness.

D)     Social networking and having friends and family as a support system, is of great assistance in fighting disease.  Loneliness and isolation contribute to feelings of helplessness, and keep the body from receiving the proper stimulus to defend itself from defective cells and carcinogens.

E)      Dairy products contain more omega 6 fatty acids now because cows are no longer fed grass.  These fatty acids cause inflammation and promote the factors for growth of certain cancers.

Factors in our environment that cause cancer are too numerous to list, but you can change how you live and fuel up on anti-cancer foods.

1)      Replace natural milk and dairy products with soy which blocks the effects of hormones in your diet.

2)      Oily fish like salmon contain omega 3’s which reduce cancer cell growth.

3)      Flax seeds should be consumed to neutralize dangerous hormones in foods.

4)      Mushrooms stimulate the body’s defense mechanisms.

5)      Carrots, potatoes, tomatoes and beets are rich in carotenoids which also work to fight cancer.

6)      Green Tea releases antioxidants that kill cancer cells.

7)      Broccoli and cabbage contain anti-cancer molecules that some nutritionists call “a magic bullet”.

We all know that the numbers of carcinogens in the environment have steadily increased in the environment in the last 50 years, and unfortunately, so has the incidence of cancer and other serious diseases.  Our bodies are magnificent and with the proper mindset and diet, we can use our own body’s natural defenses to either avoid the on set of these illnesses; or beat this health challenge while supporting the research that is working to find the cure.
